Data provision and analysis on secondary raw materials to boost recovery of Strategic and Critical Raw Materials (SCRMs) contained in Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

JRC needs access to data and analysis related to recovery of critical raw materials (e.g. rare earths elements, copper, Silicon) contained in Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (e.g. consumer electronic products, IT equipment, wind turbines, PV panels) to support its work for DG ENV on proposing novel material recovery targets (AA CEP2C). This work is led in the context of the review of the WEEE Directive and will be a key component of the Circular Economy Act planned for Q4 2026.
