In its position of one of the few accredited laboratories to assess world record efficiency PV devices, ESTI aims in reducing its measurement uncertainty of the area in order to improve its measurement capability for the efficiency. To achieve this target, a tool to precisely measure the dimensions of very small devices is needed. A ten-fold reduction of the uncertainty for the measurement of area is expected.
