The main scope of the contract is to offer lunch services to EEA staff members and visitors and to cater meetings with coffee and tea, served lunches, dinners, etc. In addition, the canteen servicer provider may provide other offerings to staff members and visitors, such as coffee/tea, breakfast, fruit, cold drinks, take away offerings, etc. The canteen service provider may also be requested to cater other ad-hoc events at rates not regulated by the contract

All tenderers are required to prove that they are authorised to perform the contract under national law.
Stable financial position: Tenderers must be in a stable financial position and have the economic and financial capacity to perform the contract.
Minimum annual turnover: The tenderer must have, for each of the past two financial years for which accounts have been closed, an average annual turnover of at least EUR 500,000 (five hundred thousand euros).
Experience and qualified staff: The tenderer must have extensive and demonstrable experience of at least 5 years in providing canteen and catering services as well as the ability to provide a team of qualified chefs and kitchen assistants.
Reference contracts: A list of at least 2 (two) contracts awarded in the past 3 (three) years to the tenderer, each with a minimum value of EUR 400,000, relevant to the services required under this call for tenders (i.e., canteen and catering services). The list shall include details of the contract start and end date, the total contract value, a brief description of the services provided, and the type of recipients of the services (i.e., private or public entity). In case of contracts still ongoing, only the portion completed during the reference period will be taken into consideration.
