This course should provide a comprehensive overview of Fixed Wing Flight Guidance Systems (FGS), covering architectures, modes, human-machine interfaces, performance in various conditions, system engagement/disengagement, control laws, protections, failures, and integration with flight control systems across both fly-by-wire and mechanical aircraft. It should also address safety assessments, certification requirements (including CS 25.1329 and all-weather operations), incident case studies, and compliance demonstrations for CAT II/III operations with relevant regulatory comparisons.
