Strengthening digital connectivity and the digital transformation of businesses and public services in Albania

The objective of this contract is to advance the implementation of Albania’s Digital Agenda in selected sectors by improving ICT infrastructure and aligning electronic communications policies with national and EU objectives. The operation also supports regulatory development, including drafting secondary legislation aligned with the EU regulation 2024/1309 for GIA, based on Very High-Capacity Networks (VFICN) with fibre optic and 5G. In addition, it will provide support on strengthening the institutional capacity of MIE, AKEP, and local authorities for effective implementation of broadband and digital policies
