The JRC needs a new, fully integrated test system for both mono- and bi-directional electric vehicle (EV) charging. The system must: a. Support IEC 62196-2 (Type 2 AC) and IEC 62196-3 (CCS Type 2 DC) plugs and allow manual or automated testing based on predefined use-cases. b. Perform time-synchronous voltage and current measurements and decode communication and power signals, using ISO 15118-20 (and future amendments) as the communication baseline. c. Simulate both a standard-compliant charging station and a standard-compliant EV, enabling bidirectional interaction with a real counterpart. d. Include power-rectification and sink racks for tests up to ≤150 kW DC (175 kW 3-phase AC is already available). e. Provide a backend communication emulator (e.g., OCPP 2.1) to record and analyse its impact on the charging and discharging processes. The supply will include a two-year warranty and maintenance period, followed by an additional year of maintenance.
